Einevarden

Bird sanctuary

Einevarden is a detached bird mountain located west of Kvalheim. Fuglefjellet(Bird mountain) is Norway's southernmost and the second largest in southern Norway. Mostly auks and guillemots nest on this 70-meter high bird mountain. In the past, people climbed up and picked eggs there. Well, you’ve missed your chance as it has become a birdlife protected zone.

You can go with a small boat around Einevarden, but be aware of traffic bans in bird protection areas that apply from 15 April.

From Nobba you can look straight down on Einevarden.
