Fishery museum in Måløy

The development of Måløy to become a leading fishing centre in Sogn og Fjordane started as early as the 19th century and has gradually become one of the most important fishing ports in the country.

Through the Fishery Museum, we take care of and convey Måløy's heritage and development by showing the fishing history. Parts of the exhibition at the Fishery Museum can be found today on the barge at the harbour near the square in the centre of Måløy. Work is currently underway to establish a larger location that can house the entire exhibition.
